Leach deposition begins in lawsuit vs Texas Tech
Former Texas Tech coach Mike Leach is giving sworn testimony in his lawsuit against the school over his firing.
Leach didn’t answer reporters’ questions Friday as he walked into a small basement conference room in his attorney’s office building in Lubbock, Texas.
The university fired Leach on Dec. 30, two days after suspending him amid allegations he mistreated a player who had a concussion. Adam James, the son of ESPN analyst and former NFL player Craig James, said his coach twice ordered him to stand for hours while confined in a dark place during practice.
Leach has denied he mistreated James. His lawsuit includes allegations of libel and slander and breach of contract.
