Cincinnati QB Pike sprains left wrist

Cincinnati quarterback Tony Pike sprained his left wrist during the first half of the eighth-ranked Bearcats game against No 21 South Florida and left the game in the third quarter.

The senior injured his non-throwing arm late in the second quarter and went to the locker room just before halftime. He returned for Cincinnatis first possession of the third quarter, wearing a protective sleeve over the wrist.

Pike, who broke his left forearm last season and played with a plate and six screws that are still in place, was replaced by Zach Collaros. Pike threw two first-half touchdown passes to Armon Binns, helping the Bearcats to a 17-10 lead.
