Georgia State to play Alabama in 2010
Georgia State is wasting no time jumping into big-time college football.
Georgia State will play at Alabama in its first season in 2010 in a game that will mark Bill Currys return to the state.
The schools announced Wednesday plans to play on Nov. 20, 2010 at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala. The game will conclude Georgia States inaugural season.
Curry, Georgia States coach, said playing at Alabama – where he coached the Crimson Tide to a Southeastern Conference championship – quickens the pace of everything we are doing.
Curry coached at Alabama from 1987 through 1989. Alabama won the 1989 SEC championship.
