Penn St. LB Bowman out for spring game
Star linebacker Navorro Bowman will sit out todays Blue-White spring game at Penn State.
Coach Joe Paterno says hell speak with Bowman next week about his future after the player got into more legal trouble this week. Bowman led the team in tackles last season.
Bowman admitted in court to smoking marijuana during the offseason, a violation of his probation after Bowman had pleaded guilty in 2008 to disorderly conduct in connection with a campus fight the previous year.
A judge extended Bowmans probation to April 2010.
Paterno says he wants the situation to settle down, and said the team is aware that Bowman may have a problem with marijuana. He says Bowman had admitted to using the drug twice in the offseason, and that hes been tested twice.
